Wacker Neuson announce key exhibits at Plantworx
Line-up includes WL20e electric-powered wheel loader and fuel-efficient ET90 tracked excavator
EXHIBITING at Plantworx for the third time, Wacker Neuson will be highlighting their award-winning WL20e electric wheel loader, their ET90 excavator and their DW90 cabbed dumper with the company’s new optional OPS+ safety system.
‘We are looking forward to Plantworx where we will have the opportunity to show our products and service solutions to a professional audience,’ said Richard Harrison, managing director of Wacker Neuson UK.
‘A highlight at the Wacker Neuson booths will be the WL20e electric wheel loader, which has been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Environmental Innovation category of the Plantworx Innovation Awards 2017. We are very happy about this honour, as it is a confirmation by industry experts that Wacker Neuson are taking the right steps towards the future with its zero-emissions line.’
With two electric motors, one for the drive system and one for the operating hydraulics, the WL20e is a fully electrically operated machine. The two electric motors ensure that the performance of the wheel loader, equipped with a 0.2 cubic meter bucket, matches that of the conventional machine. Contractors opting for the compact battery-powered wheel loader, therefore, do not need to compromise in terms of performance, but can benefit from the advantage of zero emissions.
Also on display will be the 10-tonne ET90 tracked excavator (pictured), which is said to offer up to a 30% reduction in fuel consumption and up to 20% more bucket breakaway force than comparable models. For precision applications, the ET90’s economical load-sensing hydraulic system combines full performance with finely controllable lifting arm movements.
Thanks to the Wacker Neuson Vertical Digging System (VDS) for compact excavators, working on slopes is not a problem. VDS compensates for height differences on uneven terrain and sets the operator in an upright, more comfortable and safer working position. The system allows progressive tilting of the superstructure by up to 15°. At the touch of a button, operators can thus compensate for slopes of up to 27%, resulting in increased productivity and efficiency.
Another key highlight at the show will be Wacker Neuson’s new cabbed dumpers, which can be equipped with OPS+ (additional operator protection system). OPS+ can be fitted to all cabbed Wacker Neuson dumpers, offering the operator greater protection in the event of a machine overturn or frontal impact.
Several models from Wacker Neuson’s comprehensive range of tandem rollers (from 1.8 to 4.5 tonnes) will also be exhibited at Plantworx. In addition to 10 tandem rollers in various designs, the range includes five combination rollers for applications in uneven ground conditions and on gradients. All the rollers are available with vibration or oscillation drums.
